Are all HDMI cables really the same? Specially for 3D TV's.

There is no difference. HDMI is an all digital signal. It either works, 100%, exactly the same, or no image shows up. A 3 dollar cable off of Monoprice will provide the exact same image as a 100 dollar Monster cable. Don't waste money and get ripped off. Go to monoprice.com, and you can get a long cable for a low price.

Not true. Digital signals can still degrade (it may be a digital signal but it's still being transported as an electrical current, and contrary to popular belief you can actually lose picture quality with an inferior cable in specific circumstances), and a better cable will be less prone to degradation. For the most part this isn't an issue because most people only use ~6 foot HDMI cables, but at longer runs or in some high-interference settings a better cable can be the difference between getting an image or not.

Are you just regurgitating something you heard at Best Buy? Digital is all or nothing. There is no signal degradation. There wasn't even that much signal degradation with analog unless you were using a really crappy cable. Most of the stuff you hear about expensive cables is just snake oil salesman BS.

Do not spend more then $10 on an HDMI cable.

I think the only thing you need to look for is that it is version 1.4
