Are certain people destined, predetermined to fail/have a bad life?

I feel as though my entire life as been predestined and my path is set for failure, I know this is how to unsuccessfully live life and most successful people are confident and believe they will do good. I am comfortable with living at the lower caste of society though if I need to and have never really been liked at all my life.

Does anyone else believe in predestination?

Theres always a level of choice and you can choose to bring yourself up out of the gutter or choose to remain in it, your choice.

Sometimes that is what this whole thing around me feels like a bloody play, I can not find anything to believe in either.

I know that sounds stupid I am not trying to be angsty as I am certainly almost past my teenage years. I just feel like I am better suited for the lower caste of society as I have blown so many opportunities I have been given in my life. I guess it is comforting to know that I am pathetic and that is the only truth I know to be honest.

Thank you, I do not try to make a thread anyone finds great, infact I make my pathetic threads in the hopes of making others cheerfull and more hopeful of their future when compared to my own future. Also I guess I enable some who are frustrated to vent.

That is fine and I understand if you are irritated by my premiss but I feel we all have a purpose even if it is to prop others above us. I feel that my existence is to be used as a stepping stone for other humans to reach their potential or look better by comparison to me.

Though I do actually predestination to be a true occurrence, as soon as you blame your problems on fate you have destined yourself to continue on that same path. Never know, your "destiny" might be to break free from what you refer to as a path of failure. Do not blame fate on your own inaction.mindstorm

True, maybe my fate is the result of my own failed actions and decisions that I have made throughout my life as well as my pathetic form and personality.

I think believing in destiny provides some purpose though and even though it probably is not true I idiotically believe in it I guess to avoid being a downer and wallowing around pathetically (well I already do that but not resent others) and resent the more successful products of our evolution as a species.

Ugh, I do not mean to sound like a whiner but that further depresses me in the fact that out their people more deserving of the wealthy lifestyle I live (minimum wage and in college but wealthy relative to most the world). I can feel the hate people have for me because they can see what a disgusting **** I am not that my pathetic physical form provides a good mask. I feel and I feel like the subconscious network around me when I am in public would like to see me publicly beaten and defiled while everyone around watches laughing.

I do not like the situation I feel I am in but I feel it is what people want.

My apologies, I tend to make assumptions alot and read in between the lines and find conclusions where none exist, for that I apologize.

I am really sorry I made you feel any discomfort if I did and I hope you did not develope a future adversion to my posts and topics based off of my behavior in this one.

There's a huge factor in why and how we succeed or fail at life that's similar to fate.....luck. Some people are much luckier than others, some from birth, talent, or opportunity. By whose standards should you be judged? Do your own thing and f*ck all else. Anyone who comes at you and tells you you're failing are saying that to make them feel better about themselves and their accomplishments. But life ain't a fair playing field, so one man's accomplishment is another man's afterthought, and vice-versa. Do what makes you happy and what feels right.

People make their own choices-there is no such thing as having your life already planned out in my opinion. If I were to kill everyone here, I'd go to jail. Since I have full control over my actions, I have two choices-to kill or leave alone. By choosing not to kill, I can avoid negative consequences of that action. In simpler terms, as we have full responsibility and control over ourselves, we are not predetermined to have a bad life.bats94

Like it or not, your life is planned out to a large degree by circumstances completely outside your control. People don't want to acknowledge this though because it frightens them to think anything can happen at anytime that they can't do anything about. Yes you have choices, but only insomuch as the path that life takes you on allows. The only thing you fully have control over is the mentality in which you deal with it. I find it hard to believe a child composed of skin and bones eating dirt to survive in Africa would agree that some are not predetermined to live a bad life. Even if that child looks at that situation positively, it still sucks. As I said, a large majority of it is luck.
