So I've seen a lot of dislike towards these series, and it just makes me curious. Are they really as bad as people say they are?

As far as I know. ONE PIECE- great in every way. You should give it a chance. NARUTO- 100 episodes are lame and boring fillers per 1 storyline episode. I haven´t seen anyone who doesn't get tired of that. It sucks. Manga is cool though. DBZ- Monotonous fights. suitable for children. I loved it while I was smaller. IT gets old REALLY fast. BLEACH- I was never into it.

DBZ, yes. One Piece, no opinion since I've never seen it. Bleach has its up and downs, but it's been on a good path for the final arc so far and Naruto is still good though the war is taking far too long.

DBZ: No, it & Dragonball are a cornerstone for the genre(still cheese& stupid as hell at times)

One Piece: The manga & origional anime are actually very well recieved. The problem lies in the 4Kids dub, ITS WORSE THAN PEOPLE SAY!!!

Sd_helmeppo.jpg

WTF 4Kids?

Naruto: No, it has its horrible spots (anything Uchiha), but has great moments.

Bleach:

Aizen_Demotivational_II_by_KuroiTsukyo.p

yes....

but good fights at times

**************************** May contain spoilers!!!!!! **************************** Dbz - the fights are good and seeing people good guys get killed for the first time in my life I knew the bad guys were not fukking around... However as the show went on it kept trying to top it's self... the saw is at its nest when the over the top stuff isn't happening... sayajin saga freeza saga and Android saga... Naruto - huge pay off if you stick with it... starts off silly and childish(I actually really enjoyed the first few episodes)... but picks up heavily... the long annoying fillers(which honestly you would never notice unless you read the manga) coupled with the constant need for flashbacks during fights really bog this show down... One Piece - best of the bunch... the fights are great the humor is great everything is great... The lore is really interesting( this coming from the guy who always thought pirates were lame) It really is touching at parts and the deeper meaning is definitely they're creeping in here and there at different parts... The problem is how long and far apart the deeper plot is... it will probably be 5 years before we even come close to sing the last 5 years left of the show... I'm ready to get deeper into the plot... Cowboy Bebop suffer from the same thing only it was only 26 episodes... Bleach - Opposite of Naruto starts out amazing turns into crap... Should have ended with rukia being saved is what a lot of people say... I disagree it should have ended with Aizen but I did rather enjoyed the whole full bring... basically bleach would not have been bad and it should not have ended at a single point it just needed to be better thought out... there was so much there so much potential put it got so late behind trillions of characters and nonsense explanations... May as well soon as it falls on the same category.... Fairy tail - Personally my favorite of the bunch(Erza Hands down the most badass female and fiction) has the good points of bleach(awesome fights) one piece(deeper overarching plot) naruto(cool characters) dbz(rewatch-ability)... Overall these are all ok shows if you have to experience these anime I recommend the manga over all except one piece and fairy tail...

I'm not a huge anime fan, and I can't speak for any of the others, but I think Naruto is a lot better than people say it is. Assuming you disregard the filler/read the manga, it definitely has some pacing and overuses flashbacks (particularly for the anime), and can get pretty sappy at times. That said it has a pretty interesting crew of characters, some of them unfortunately not used enough, an interesting enough plot, some good fights, and a nice soundtrack. I've found it to be a pretty enjoyable show overall.
believe it
One of the other few animes I watch...:P

I prefer Naruto to it though. Fairy Tail is funnier and has much better pacing, but its a little too idealized. No matter what happens, it seems nobody important will die and the good guys [Fairy Tail] always come out on top. Naruto has a much better balance.

Either way I find both pretty enjoyable for a casual anime viewer like myself :P

No, I think they're a lot better than what the anime community usually thinks about them.

I read it weekly and I enjoy it but I'd be lying if I said the nakama powerups don't piss me off.
But, with all the doom and gloom being foreshadowed, I'm hoping Mashima offs at least one important character.
I love One Piece. Didn't think I'd become so addicted to it.

DBZ is my favorite and first anime, Bleach is pretty solid though I haven't watched much of it, and One Piece I hear is actually REALLY good, like even comparable to DBZ.

I could never get into Naruto, maybe one day years down the road, but as of now I'm not seeing myself get into it.

Even the manga has a lot of flashbacks. Half the time they're for a reason, half the time they're there just because it seems like the author didn't want to think for a week about what to do next.

No way. Bleach is pretty good (especially the last arc). Kubo is great at drawing fight scenes and he's a master level troll. OP I've never really gotten into and Naruto isn't as bad as people say either.
