For me I wouldnt have no problem spending $1200 or more on a tattoo because you get what you pay for. Also its going to be permanent so $1200 is nothing compared to what I will make in a lifetime.

Do you have any problems with spending over a $1000 on a tattoo?

.

I dont see how people can brag about paying $50 or less for a tattoo like the main point is to get it done for as cheap as possible.

I never had one due to all the sucky Dollar General ones I see. My cousin had an awesome looking tattoo that peaked my interest in tattoos.

If you're going to get a tattoo, you might as well go because 1. It's permanent 2. You'd want something that's permanent to actually look good.

thats definitely a concern but something else ive noticed is that people will just go get any tattoo on their arm without a real plan. they reveal they will get a sleeve eventually but they seem like they are just making up reasons to get another tattoo to fill up space. when they have four or five different designs on their arm they decide its enough and have someone fill the rest in with clouds or whatever. it looks dumb as fvck up close. you clearly dont really have anything of particular meaning on your arm, you just wanted an excuse to have another tattoo. so why not plan out some proper, consistent artwork that could start at the top and you work your way down as you can afford it or until you feel you have gone down far enough on your arm. its going to be on your body forever you fvcking moron, a bit of planning is necessary.

Definitely Im huge on tattoo's and have four, three of which are merged into a half sleeve on my upper right arm and plan on getting more I've spent 600 altogether, Im really picky about which artist I use and would never just walk into a shop and have work done. Its going to be on your body for the rest of forever so you better put down some cash and do your research in my opinion.

Oh and that lion is not a 1200 dollar tattoo. Ive never spent more then 250 on a tattoo given mine aren't huge thats still overpriced as hell.

Tattoos are like any other product. You get what you pay for up to a certain point, then you're paying for someone's ego. They can be overpriced, like any other product, and $1,200 for that tattoo above is overpriced as hell.

If I was to get one, well it'd take a while for me to decide who would do it. Too many bad tattoo's out there done by people who have no idea what they are doing.

Yes. My first tattoo I got from a family friend at a discount. Thinking about it now that wasn't the wisest way to go about it.

I don't think I'll ever get a tattoo, but if I would, I'd make sure it's a masterpiece. I'd probably design it myself and pay a lot of money to get it. It's something that you'll have for the rest of your life and it should be something personal, meaningful and as good looking as possible. I see lots of people with all sorts of tribal tattoos or spiders, scorpions and other silly things that look bad and send no message at all. I believe you must be really stupid and uneducated to get such a thing.

No because tattoos have become trendy and will fall out of popularity.  In the future people will know exactly what era you're from with all the tattoos.

That 1200 dollar tattoo should have been nowhere near that much. I've seen better tattoos for under half that. I get the point it's trying to make though. And yes, it's worth spending the extra money on an artist who is skilled than saving a couple 20's.

Tattoos have been around for thousands of years. Regardless, there will be countless ways for people to discern what era your from. That's actually a pretty cool thing. Regardless of whether people remember your name or you specific life story, they'll know the times and environment you belonged in.
