I play A Fender Squire lead Guitar. I don't feel overrated but I want your opinion. Are we? Or is it musicians in general?

Yes, because everyone wants to play guitar, i would play bass :D Of course i'm a drummer right now. I would say musicians are overrated because a lot will be mediocre, but then i will get flamed for it if i'm not the best out there to show them up...............

Uhhh, I never recall hearing anything about being "rated" better as a guitar player for playing a Fender Squier...

Why does everything have to be overrated or underrated these days? Can't anything just be fine?

No, but you're starting a band too early, unless you're amazing at guitar ect.

whole thing was about 400 the amp was like 130 and the bass was like 270. though I will say, when playing in the first position, the strings make a horrible twang against the fret markers >___>

I have an Ibanez SZ720 fm and a Fender DeVille valve amp. Purdy sweet.

Oh, and bass players have a lot less to worry about. 2 less strings and all that. They just stand around looking for something to eff with if you don't keep em busy. Thats why we make ours do all the singing, too. But a dude that can play the bass can cash his own checks because it's such a doofy instrument that you'll have no trouble finding some people who need someone to play it.

Just kidding, I like the bass. Sort of. :o

I started bass about 4 months ago (im 14 btw) and the day i started my lessons i got this bass pack. $375 AUD. in iti got an ESP LTD B-10 Bass and a 15 watt amp. also came with a strap and picks but i just broke them or gave them away. also since my bday is coming up my bro might get me some distortion so that would be cool. as for being overrated, yeh when most people start guitar people think its really cool and expect them to do all sorts of stuff straight away, but it aint easy. bassists imo are underrated since its not as popular as electric guitar, but a band without bass isnt a band, its just like 3 or 4 guys standing around with 2 guitars and a drum kit.
