Nah, there is a lot of bands I like more then them.
EDIT; Psychedelic Rock? Just because they had that style on some songs doesn't mean that they are a psychedelic rock band, people. :roll: It's like calling Pantera a Glam Rock band based on their earlier songs.
There is no BEST in ANYTHING there is just your Choice and Taste in everything..its up to you whos best for you.for me its metallica for you its beatles :) for him its pink floyd and so son...
Well it's all a matter of opinion; but I'd say they are definitely up there, and they are definitely the most influential band of all time (Not counting early blues musicians.)

Here we go again with that "opinion" thing :roll: Because he's right... It's kind of annoying, "Well, I like *Insert genre*, so no, *Insert band* is". People need to realize that they like things for different reasons than others. Some people listen to music to have fun and dance(Like hip hop for example), and some for artistic value(Classical for example), it's really an opinion.
for now, i do not believe there is a single greatest band ever. music is too subjective for that. maybe someday i will do enough research to try to figure out the closest answer there is to the "greatest band ever," but for now, any answer anyone on this forum can give you is purely representative of either their favorite band or the band they believe best exemplifies what they find most important in music.
I think that depends on what you mean by the word "best". As far as influence goes, The Beatles are tough to beat. However, if it is talent you are speaking of, they are nowhere near the best band of all time.
