eh, their lack of touring severly hurts them. Rock, more than anything, is about that connection between the band and the audience.

led zeppelin had more variety. And looking at how rock music has progressed, led zeppelin has had a bigger influence on the bands of today.

You can be. How many bands have a singer that can out sing someone from the opera? About none but they can still be great. Music is just subjective. I bet that if some super respected artist released an album that contained songs that had sounds of things falling to the ground critics would call it genius and everyone would bow to him. So yeah anything is acceptable in music.
