That was my experience as well. There were a few in my high school.
Don't know of any from my college.

I'm guessing you're at a private school? That would violate federal education laws at a public school. You aren't allowed to be pregnant in regular high school school here. They indefinitely suspend you.

Again, private school I'm guessing?no. i dont think we are aloud to have pregnant girls in our school.

There's one in my friends class. Im sort of wondering why they're still in school.Crotazoa8Maybe because they still want to actually get an education?
[QUOTE="Pirate700"]I'm guessing you're at a private school? That would violate federal education laws at a public school.Nope. Public school system here in san diego. You were allowed to stay for a while but I think they may "place" you in another program...not in the school though. Either way you were gone. You aren't allowed to be pregnant in regular high school school here. They indefinitely suspend you.

Because a pregnant teen is blatantly violating the vatican's policy against premarital sex; if they allow pregnant girls to stay in the regular school then people would start to think the Catholic church is okay with it.[QUOTE="Pirate700"]Nope. It's a punishment. It's no different than anything else that get's you expelled from school. A pregnant girl is also a horrible role model for the kids, will get ridiculed to high heaven and is a serious health liability to the school.[QUOTE="UT_Wrestler"] I'm guessing you're at a private school? A student who is a danger to other students (i.e. assault, selling drugs, etc) yeah there's grounds for expulsion because they are a safety liability to other students. Pregnancy doesn't fit under this umbrella.[QUOTE="Pirate700"]You ARE entitled to an education, until you screw up. It's a punishment. I knew a girl back when I started high school and I overheard her telling the kids at the beginning of the year she was pregnant. And she was someone I would see around regularly. But after a few months I didn't see her around. It was kind of weird because she disappeared in the MIDDLE of the semester. And I figured she didn't want to be embarrassed by it or something, but I never saw her again after that. It would not surprise me if she was forced to leave.[QUOTE="UT_Wrestler"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]Nope. Public school system here in san diego. I knew girls in junior high school that were pregnant.
What do I think of them? They pretty much signed away their youth, which saddens me.
I haven't noticed anyone like that so far. However, one of my friends says she wants to get pregnant when shes sixteen. I, along with other people, are trying to talk her out of it. If she actually does get pregnant, all i'll say is that I warned her. Pika-Chama
Perhaps she simply wants to feel loved and wanted. There are plenty of ways of achieving this without becoming a parent.
