Are there any unions on GameSpot that aren't totally dead?

It seems like every union I go to has no active members whatsoever, and all posts are dated way back in 2008, at the very least. I'd count myself as lucky when I see that one topic at the top that has some posts from this year, and even luckier on the rare occasions that it is from this month.

What do you think? Are any of you on boards that feature similar interests such as final fantasy games, books, certain movies, perhaps Harry Potter, Mario fans, action adventure fans, and so on? Even though GameSpot may have become popular again (as evidenced by all the ads that refuse to let me browse GS in peace) due to the Webby awards or something, it still remains that Off topic and System Wars are the two none dead forums. The rest are all struggling.

Well... do you agree? Do you think I'm just imagining things? TELL ME NOW!

GFXplosion and The Consoles Debate union are pretty active in comparison. Also Gotei 13.

I actually had someone to say something to me about my posting. Somebody had to it in the union, no one else was, not even the leader or officers in it. Anybody has a union that wants an active officer, pm me..

There were just too many unions, many of them on the same topics.

I created the Classic Adventure Gamers Union way back when the Unions first started, but then there came the Monkey Island Union two days later, and the Sierra Online Classics Union, the Gabriel Knight Union, etc, etc.

Users become split between the various unions, and with so many damned unions, it's hard for new users to find ones that they'd be interested in.

Edit: And it actually takes some time and effort to keep up the union. I turned over the reigns as Leader to somebody more dedicated than myself.

hmm... I am intrigued by this cafe of socials... they are actually quite lively!

I guess I kind of feel sad that some unions have no life in them whatsoever, but then I think, isn't it better than there's no one around? Wouldn't that imply that the people are actually doing activites outside and making use of their time? I don't know...

Yeah, there are alot of dead unions now. A couple unions I go to are hanging by a thread; they have maybe two or three threads with some posts.

It's just such a shame really. I had so much fun with some unions before, and most of those unions are completely dead now. :(
