I really dont know where to start with you americans and all the crime and stuff (no offence)and then there is africa, and all those poor countries.
GOD BLESS CANADA!!!
Universal Health Care sounds great in theory, but its a highly flawed system. Look at the health care in Europe and Canada, which offer this service. The level of care is greatly depreciated vs. the civilian sector. Besides, you're gonna allow the US Government, a system that is so broken its almost beyond repair, to control YOUR health care? Look at government run hospitals like Walter Reed. I'm active duty military, I know our health care is free but it's not what most people would want.
The biggest issuesI think that need be address especially with the upcoming presidential election are:
Immigration Control: Build the wall, offer no amnesty to illegal immigrants but also streamline the process by which immigrants CAN become LEGAL.
War on Terrorism: Allow US in the MILITARY to do our job and kill the bad guys. Allow us to win in Iraq, stop supporting legislation proposed by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelousy that attempts to make us fail over there. The bottom line is, we ARE winning in Iraq. I've been there, I've seen progress and the facts don't lie.
Alternative Energy: We need to release our dependence of foreign oil. Our reserves in Alaska alone contain enough oil to run America for 200 years. It's not a solution, just a thought. But we must research and develop new means of creating energy.
Poverty. Materialism. Education. Healthcare. Economics in general. Instead everyone throws fits about abortion and gay marriage while our country waits for a depression to hit it with the devaluation of the dollar.quiglythegreat
Quigly, you charismatic stallion! Well thought out and well put, all great issues we need to address. Hit the nail right on the head, we got way bigger issues than Gay Marriage.
Crime. This country has the most apalling crime rate in the world. In my opinion, we should begin to focus military attention on cities with the highest homicide rates (maybe I'm being selfish- I'm an MP and that would be fun as hell)RiSkyBiZ-13
I agree with you on the crime issue, it really is horrendous. But, that is one of the consequences of the "innocent until proven guilty" policy.

Not at all. That's to say that any population without an official and efficient judiciary system would be rampant with crime. Institutions need not be effective to deal with crime; instead common values should make people behave in moral ways in the first place. If anything, crowded prisons indicate a society on the decline, slowly unhinging.[QUOTE="dgbeard45"][QUOTE="RiSkyBiZ-13"]Crime. This country has the most apalling crime rate in the world. I agree that personal morals of the individual play a large factor, but when a system is weak or can be beaten, people that normally wouldn't commit crimes will take advantage of that system.
I think people need to start paying more attention on all the little infringements on our rights over here and start taking them seriously. It scares me how lax people seem to be about letting the government step over our rights in the name of "security". The fact is the governments actions as of late coincide with the 10 steps towards a facist country and that scares the hell out of me.
I think it is the 3rd time I have reposted this vid tonight but I think it is incredibly important that every American sees this as it makes you think about what direction our country is heading in. The comparisons between modern America and Pre-nazi Germany/Italy before Mousillini craziness is very chilling.
