Do all countries control traffic flow in the same way?

Don't a lot of European cities use round abouts?RedWolves_Yes but they're not really that different from a regular junction, just instead of the roads joining directly there's a circular road as an intermediary.
I lol'd :P I can't think of anything different really, except that I know that there a LOT of roundabouts here.I don't how they do it in Europe, but I assume that they dangle a carrot in front of the horse when they want to go and a plastic bag when they wanna stop.
Theokhoth
Japan, same.
Bahrain, same.
El Salvador, same
Mexico, same.
I've never been to china or Russia but i assume they are also the same.
The main difference is in the road signs, not the stop lights. Stop signs look different all over. In Japan they are triangles if i remember correctly, or were they squares...
Oh well, my temp liscense expired anyways.
there is a roundabout in NJ my uncle showed me when i was over from the UK...no one knows how to use it!
in the UK we use the usual red amber green...and we only goon green if its safe...lol
and in resposne to the dangling of a carrot...arent european cars faster thanseptic cars?
i wouldnt say they are universal.
i was watching the discovery channel the other day and watched a show called the science of traffic(i thank thats what it was called) and it talked about a city that doesnt use any traffic lights and any kind ofspeed limit signs. and surprisingly there have been fewer and fewer accidents because all the drivers are more aware of what they are doing.
Roundabouts are there to make things safer and traffic slow down a bit. It's also usually faster than working with traffic lights.
Traffic lights in europe are usually Red Orange Green but i have seen some with Blue lights somewhere... Germany? I'm not sure where it was.
Yes it was a small city or even a village. It was a test to see whether there were too many rules, instead of too few. And of course, as we all know, there are too many rules.i wouldnt say they are universal.
