Are watches dead?

I just came home after doing some shopping at Wal-Mart. About half way an elder lady asked me, "What time it is?" I don't wear a watch, so I reached into my pocket for my cell phone. I left it in my car. "Sorry ma'am. I left my cell phone in my car." She laughed and said, "You darn kids! Have you ever heard of watches?" We both laughed and went our separate ways.

That got me thinking. Does anyone use watches anymore? Please answer the poll for my scientifically unscientific poll.

Cell Phones FTW.

Watches always dissapear or break. They also randomly go off-time too. They are totally unreliable....

I had the same problem with "wrist watch". Gamespot called me a bad man and censored it out.

in both cases, it's because of the last character of the first word combined with the first three characters of the second word.

no problem. it's what i do. innocence is something i can't lay claim too, lol

I just bought a new watch last week. I use it for jewerly as well as time. It looks really nice. I hate having my phone in my pocket (even though it's a Razr, I hate having anything in my pockets...I don't even carry my wallet...I keep it in my bag), and I also keep my iPod in my bag, or in an inner pocket to a jacket (winter).

So yes, I use a watch. None of those sport watches, but good looking silver or gold ones. Right now I have a cheap one that still looks nice, but I want to save up for something really nice next summer.

I have my grandfathers pocket watch. ;) 17 ruby, swissmade timepeice. It needs a repair though.
