I had myself convinced that I was straight until I was sixteen, even with my gay porn habit. :lol: But I was never really the homophobic type, despite all the denial.

I guess you could call me that, if you wanted to. I lean very much towards men. So much so that it just makes life easier to note myself as gay But I don't rule out being in a relationship with a woman as a possibility. It's just that being attracted to them is so rare, I don't really see it happening.

Hmm.. that was really interesting, the more I read, the more I kind of wished I were Asexual to be honest.. I mean yeah, in some situations it must be hard not to be sexualy attracted to anybody, but as long as there was emotional attraction its not like anything else would matter besides your love. My point is that it must be an advantage at times to be free or more to never have had known the weight of sexual thoughts.

You make a good point. I don't really know if I truly consider myself to be asexual yet or not, but it's been kind of...in the back of my mind for the past several months. I don't want to go around proclaiming it or anything just yet, though... I'm still only 17 and I'm still relatively unsure. It makes sense right now, though, to consider myself a heterosexual by sexual orientation but asexual by sexual identity, as I'm attracted to men but I am not interested in anything sexual. I haven't told anyone in my life about this yet, though, because it is still, after all, a theory of mine. :)

Anyway, enough about my boring sexual confusion. :P

one of my friends says she's borderline bi. she has a boyfriend, but i have evidence of the photographic kind of her bisexual leanings.

i also know someone who is asexual. she has absolutely no sexual feelings whatsoever that we can discern. every attractive person (male or female) that we recommend is just "a sweet person", and she has never talked about sex, ever. which in my circle of friends is a serious social handicap...

I'm not homophobic in the least, but 27 votes for asexual worries me a bit... I mean, how can a human be "asexual"? That sounds like a psychological disorder rather than a sexual orientation. And if I met someone in real life who told me they were asexual, but they get off on "bloody sex", I would walk away very quickly...
