I believe there is a higher intelligence type of entity that created everything we feel & experience today. The greatest gift given to us is to be conscious of ourselves and of the fact that we are all the same with everything in it's creations as small pixels of a grander picture since we all come from this,.... this creative entity which many have attributed the name 'God'. I believe that the realm where this creative entity resides at is where we will return to when we die as we will once again become with the Creative entity as we are and always have been. And so i feel no necessity to be a part of any kind of cult/sect/religion to express any kind of acknowledgement of a greater force and it certainly doesn't require it of me.
I refuse to call the Creator "god" because "god" usually personifies an image of a person somewhere in the heavens that has some sort of emotional disorder, someone who is jealous and needs to praised & acknowledged before good things even begin to turn slightly in your favor while the threat of being banned from some kingdom looms largely in the back of the heads of it's creations over simple things as not enough praise or disbelief. Plus, it gives to much credit to males using nouns like his/him/he/the father, as if that's what "god" is, an insecure male. This type of god character comes off as egotistical and bi-polar
So my belief in the creative entity, which is nothing but love and consciousness, does not resemble the god most people have in mind today and can't be associated with it by label other than the Creator as it is above the most common idea and belief of what god is.
If I believed in a god, will that stop these stupid repetitive questions from being asked everyday??
Obvious Answer: "Of course not, dumbass."
If you actually type like that, then you'd make good friends with AussiePet lol.
No I don't, but I have several friends that are members of a huge cult that revolves around human sacrifice. In fact they're celebrating their sacrifice as we speak.
I'm agnostic. I think the whole idea of a God - someone who created the Universe - is far beyond human comprehension, like a monkey learning to read.
? that's not a question, only when you know the question will you know what the answer means[QUOTE="lamprey263"]I believe the answer to everything is... 42004050
I have only just realised noobs probably make these topics on purpose, knowing we can't help but have a crack at each other, just to raise their GS level with a long topic.cheese_game619

I never even realized this until last night, it was on IFC.I am not. I have recently read about theological noncognitivism and find it is very much up my alley.foxhound_foxYou might find ignosticism to your liking. It's very similar.
This, its quite simple, yet too complex at the same time...I'm agnostic. I think the whole idea of a God - someone who created the Universe - is far beyond human comprehension, like a monkey learning to read.

How is it too complex? It's the most primitive way to explain the universe ever invented. Cavemen used to believe in gods...

I'm talking about what our minds can comprehend. I always hear people say how they don't think they want to live in an eternal heaven, that they are content with what they have... as if they have any kind of idea what it is actually like? Not to mention that its a downright selfish opinion to hold, considering we live in world filled with crime and suffering that plagues people in other parts of the world.I find it more to my liking because it explicitly demands that a falsifiable definition of whatever god is being discussed must be put forth.Blood-ScribeTrue. I guess theological noncognitivism is more of an apathetic position that just disregards discussion because it sees it as impossible to define.
