Western culture/media has portrayed bisexuality or "girl-on-girl" to be the best thing ever. It's all social construction. They're not gay either, but they want the culturally constructed attraction related, and so bisexuality is the next best thing. It's why there are no where NEAR the same number of guys saying that they're bi. As opposed to girls, culturally speaking, that's just a no-no. Unlike in ancient Greece, where it was deemed ok, and suddenly there were tons of bisexual guys. It's all just cultural prodding.
