Are you a jerk?

And are you proud of it to some degree, or do you see it as something you need to work on in terms of treating others with respect?

I'd say I'm typically nice to people, but on rare occasions my rather short temper does show.

I can be a bit of a dick from time to time, it's something I'm trying to change but it's hard because I've been such a dick for such a long period of time.

I have a very short temper. I like to think I'm very reasonable with my friends and even when I'm around random strangers I'm respectful. That being said, random people who are beneath my quality of existence I tear apart (most HS freshman, I'm a senior) but even with my friends if I come up with something mean but brilliant enough I can't NOT say it. I think I'm a terrible person in some regards, but I have a few people who I can rant with. Its not as much talking behind people's backs as it is discussing what would make someone a better person. Example, I have a friend who needs to be more assertive. I complain about this.

I can be nice and sometimes I can be a jerk. For example, the summer before 7th grade I was home and all of a sudden a girl knocks on my door saying she's had a crush on me for a very long time and my response is oh and I shut the door. Then a few minutes later her five friends come over saying I made her cry and I should apologize and I say ok and shut the door. That was the end of that

I'm only a jerk when people pull of stupid things on me that hurt my feelings and that has only happened in the last year only once.

To a certain extent I think I'm a jerk but I rather be known as the nice guy rather than the jerk.

I can be a little obnoxious, incredibly opinionated and brutally honest with a rather dark sense of humour. There are times when I can be a really vile person but those who got the sharp side of my tongue usually fuсking deserve it. For most part, I'm an incredibly sweet guy. But I'd say I am a bit of a jerk sometimes.

on occasion I have a certain lack of caring about the situation at hand and I do what is most satisfying for myself. You could probably call that a moment of being a jerk.

I do believe that such occasions are fairly rare though.
