You're right, they're are not mutually exclusive. One makes sense, however egotistical. The other just makes you look like an idiot that clings to the accomplishments of a vague entity to gratify your need to feel superior to others. derp.[QUOTE="Perd1t1on"][QUOTE="Shottayouth13-"] What? :| He was born and raised in Britain. He grew up in a British culture and so he's proud of where he grew up, his country. He's also proud of the past achievements of his country. Is that so hard to understand?. Yes, one can be proud of their country and one can also be proud of their own accomplishments (Shocking isn't it?). The two things are not mutually exclusive. Oh gee
You heard it here on GS first people, being proud of your country makes you look like an idiot. That's right you Spaniards, or you Dutch, don't even bother shedding tears of joy if your country wins the world cup on Sunday. You'll look like an idiot with a mind boggling superiority complex.
I don't think it makes you look like an idiot but I don't see the point in being proud of something you had no control of being a part in and did not contribute towards in any way what so ever.
As for me, I am an American Citizen. I'm told I'm also a Canadian citizen, apparently.
