yeah i'm in a speech class this semester and I get kind of nervous speaking in front of everyone. I have a really good teacher though and she's helped me a lot andyboiiiYeah, I'm probably going to have to take one of those next semester. I'm not looking forward to writing and performing speeches.
I don't really get nervous, but I'm definitely not good. I'm terrible at presenting myself when it comes to anything public really. I usually just get up there say what I have to say and then sit down.
depends on how much confidence i have the subject, i hate it at uni cos you get the sense that others in the room know more than you
I'm in a speech class this semester and I've gotten an A on every speech I've given so far so I might be okay at it...but I hate giving them. I'm usually more nervous when I'm waiting for my turn to give a speech. When I'm actually up there giving the speech, I usually feel alright. JML897I know what you mean, that's why I usually try to go first if I can.
Omg I'm so awful. I had to make a presentation yesterday, and I have no recollection of what I actually said.
im terrible if im not reading straight off a paper. its not like im nervous to present but i often just fumble on my thoughts whichs leads me "uhhhhhhhhh".........
I wouldn't say I'm very good at it, but sometimes when I see how bad some of my classmates do presenting, it makes me feel like I can do a better job. :P
Not at all. I took a public speaking class during my senior year of High School and it helped me so much with speaking in front of people.
Personally I hate public speaking. I get all nervous and often forget what I'm supposed to say. It's not that I'm afraid of my peers but more that my professor is grading everything that I say. Does anyone else hate presenting as much as I do?CuddlesTheBunnyi get really nervous and i hate public speaking worse than anything. i start to stutter and forget words its brutal. and the funny thing is i want to be a teacher lol

If you think about how others are percieving your performance whilst you are presenting, then you WILL choke and fumble. Before the presentation, think like this - everyone has YOUR attention and you are confident in what you are going to say. Think of it as you educating them about something. Breathe at a steady and calm rate as you speak, and look at everyone :) Another way to beat this problem, is by doing many presentation to lots of people. That way, you WILL improve and become more confident. As a 5th year university student, and nearly finishing 2 pre-med degrees in Australia, I think I can safely say that I've given more presentations than I can possibly remember!!
