Then I guess I'm a loser too. I'm a freshman in college and have never had a real boyfriend, and I don't consider it one of my priorities at the moment either.

If I was a high school girl in need of a boyfriend, and if I was even moderately attractive, all I'd have to do is walk into a room full of horny, hormonal boys, and say, "All right, guys, who wants to go out with me tonight?"

In some girls eyes they see the virginal male as the chivalristic sweet guy with respect for women. Try being a girl when all your friends are blabbing about their boyfriends and sex and whatnot. Being a girl already puts a toll on your self-esteem about looking and acting a certain way, the added peer pressure doesn't exactly help. So I understand it may be different, but it's not significantly easier either. It's all a matter of perception and personal strength, honestly.

And like Deih said, some want more than just sex in a relationship.

Actually, I'm an embittered 26-year-old, which is worse.

I see the irony in this situation, yet I'm not getting the grim sense of satisfaction I usually do. Maybe someone left the freezer I keep my heart in open.

My parents have thought me..School/Work/ Art first then girlfriend. I dont know its starting to annoy me. I always think about it during class and im not paying attention at all.

As Dr Seuss once said, "Do what you want and don't mind what others think because the ones who mind don't matter, and the ones that matter, dont mind." I'm 20 had 3 and a half gfs, 1 of which occured during HS, 2 in freshman uni, and that one lasted a few months I can safely say, DO NOT RUSH. The first 2 were crazy. I admit i did have to TRY to get them...but after I got them, things turned sour, as i did not get to know them well enough, so then ...these annoying habits of theirs start to appear like the general hissy fit that an immature girl has. For example, getting mad at you for POINTLESS reasons, making your life miserable. However, the 3rd gf was different. i met her a friend's birthday party and we just clicked. I didn't even have to try. Things happen. Just like that. and we got to know each other quite well before carefully diving into something deeper and we made sure that we knew what we were doing. just testing the waters...and if thigs didnt work out..we wouldnt force it.......I'd say she was the best gf i've had, simple as that. (broke up due to school work and stuff..she was a smart n hard working workaholic...ifshe was happier not in a relationship, then so be it. All i want for her is to be happy) So dont worry about it if you've never had a gf. It's better to wait n get a good one, rather than not wait and get a bunch of crazy ones. Remember my friend QUALITY over QUANTITY. No rush.

------- i forgot to add, the first 2 girls were high school aged. last one was in university..(there is a BIG difference..)
