Im very proud to be an american, even though as a whole were so gulible as to fall for a simple word "hope" Big mistake America. Big **** mistake. This is worse then electing bush a second time. What have you done. There, now that i griped about that, Go America! Regardless, we should always support our leader, its a values people. If people treated their boss like they did our leader, no one would have a job. ;)
We arn't a Christian nation.. We are a SECULAR nation.. Clearly that went completely over your head.I'm embarrassed by the 2 party system. It's ancient and has needed reformation for a long time. I'm embarrassed by the governtment, who does little about illegal immigration. At this point we need immigration reform, but we first need leaders who promise to end illegal immigration and deliver it. I'm embarrassed by a president who says "Wer'e not a Christian nation", when in fact 75% of people consider themselves Christian (less than 1% are Muslim or Hindu). I'm embarrassed by some cultural things like the pornagraphy and rap music that spawned here. Overall, I still have alot of pride in Americans to do the right things though.

There was a scenerio like this but in Britain where an old man shot two intruders in his house. But since owning a gun in Britain was illegal at the time, the old man was locked for a lifetime for killing one man. The other survivor stayed in prison for months and threatened to sue the old man.
No not really. People should judge me based upon who I am, not where I am from. If people think ill of me because I'm American then that is their problem, not mine.
Not really, since I don't identify myself as an American, but rather a citizen of the planet Earth. Nationalism is, frankly, a waste of my time.

We arn't a Christian nation.. We are a SECULAR nation.. Clearly that went completely over your head. No, who we are as a country went over Obama's head. We are a Christian nation, with some athiest, and a few Hindus and Muslims. Honestly, I'm not sure if I can consider Obama a Christian if he chooses to distance himself from other Christians. Nope, I really can't and I think many other Christians agree with me on this. How, can you as a Christian, choose to belittle other Christians or just choose to deny they exist? And, what's more shocking is how does this person become president? Not at all. It's just where I was born. I can't be embarassed of being American any more than I can be embarassed of living on Earth.
as a legal resident who will eventually apply and get duel citizenship I'd say I feel like an American. I wouldn't be embarrassed.
I am proud to be an American... Every country has their embarrassing and ignorant people. It's normal.

Most Americans claim to be christians but that doesn't make USA a christian country. A Christian country would be like Vatican City. Our laws would be all the laws of the bible.

The United States is a secular republic with a majority of the populace practicing Christianity. If it was a "Christian Nation", it would be a theocracy, which it is obviously not - in fact, if I remember correctly, it's a staple of the Constitution that no religion can have an official impact on the country's legal matters.

Have you not heard of any of the Supreme Court cases about removing crossed, 10 Commandments and such from government property? Surely you've heard the term seperation of church and state. I don't see how saying we are not a Christian nation is at all showing contempt for Christians. If he were to say we were a Christian nation just because most people claim to be, he might as well also say we are a nation of White, Overweight, Christian women, since there are more white people than not, more overweight people than not, and more women than men.

Supreme court decisions have gone both ways on those cases. So there's no definite way for you to say our government is "secular". However, there is no doubt that the vast majority of people consider themselves Christian. I've watched his speeches, Obama has shown contempt for the majority of the American people and contempt for his own supposed religion.
