I have experienced riots in the past and nearly got killed during one that broke out in 1 second (I was unfortunately on the "danger zone") but that was years ago.

Must be nice having all this free time on your hands to protest. Wish I could do that but I have a job. Most protesters are just lazy bums.Murderstyle75
You have no free time with your job? Sucks for you.

Just out of curiosity, what is the etiquette regarding rioting? It's like, if someone gets married, you have up to a year to give them a wedding gift. You can wait 10 months and it's still sort of $hitty that you waited that long, but it still counts. But if you try giving a gift 13 months after the wedding, the couple can't accept it and the gift doesn't count. Why? I don't know, "it's just the rules". So, like...is there a similar etiquette to rioting? There has to be, doesn't there? If people were rioting over the Zimmerman verdict in five years, that'd be like if there was a riot tomorrow over the acquittal of the cops who beat Rodney King. It'd just be ridiculous. So...how long can one wait to riot before such a riot becomes "unacceptable" and "just plain stupid, even by the standards of other rioters"? I'm not asking because I'm a lazy rioter and want to know how long my window of opportunity is. I'm asking because I don't like riots, and am curious about how much time has to pass before I can be confident that that the risk of a riot has dropped to zero.

What I don't get is do black people think this is going to decrease the perception that they are dangerous when black, male and wearing a hoodie because someone should tell them this doesn't help their image...

Riots aren't always about protesting assumed injustice. Sometimes it is just an excuse to loot, especially when the targets are the stores.

On the news yesterday people were occupying the Florida Governor's office trying to get "stand your ground" off the books. Eric Holder also spoke out against it. Do these people not know that Zimmerman didn't use the stand your ground defense?

We hardly ever have protests in Japan. We just play along with society.

the only time i really saw a protest was when the TV stations were showing too much Korean drama and not ebough japanese stuff. lol
