Whilst I think generally, those guilty of homophobic assaults are rather idiotic and deranged. I can't say that I'll promise to wear purple on the 20th. I have nothing purple nor will I likely remember. >:

I don't think so. It's a very popular Facebook event and will be going on heavily on college campuses, which it's primarily aimed at, college students and students in general.
I've never heard of this. Despite my school colors being purple & gold I don't own any purple, so no I won't. I find these types of events to be kinda useless anyways.

Well that explains quite a bit. Last year and year before, LBGT group on campus gave out purple shirts with the slogan Gay Fine By Me". I'll wear the shirt if they're giving it out again.

October 20th is spirit day and many people across the world will be wearing purple to honor to victims of homophobic abuse and hate. I will be wearing purple because even as a heterosexual, I believe everyone should be treated fairly and respectfully.

If I do it will be a coincidence because I won't care/remember. I don't really get the point of these "do nothing" protests like the day of silence. I mean we're not really doing anything by participating.
I don't own anything purple, and I'd rather show my support for gay rights through the way i live my life, respecting everyone and not spreading hate. So no.
My g string is the only purple item of clothing I have. I guess that will do. I want to only wear purple though so I may just wear that. Maybe I could paint myself purple as well.
