Is it because people who like video games have to be smarter than most people? It just seems weird to me that most of the people in here seem smart even though other people would just think that we're kind ofshut-ins people but it seems like we're actually kind of smart.

maybe not 'smart', but certainly outspoken (on message boards at least)

It doesn't, but you would be surprised how many people have that mentality (whether they realize it or not).

To answer you're topic question, I'm in high school. I just finished my freshman year (it literally ended yesterday) with a 4.0 GPA both semesters. I'm also in the Gifted Education program. So, you could make the claim that I am "smart," but I tend to be a humble guy and I don't like talking about my strengths.Alex3796

it is safe to say ihave reached a few revels above High School.

Finishing Secondary school now, going to enter college next year.

The only reason why we seem "smart" is because all of the "dumb" users either get banned or get out-debated to the point of being sick of arguing with anybody, which pretty much stops them from even trying. I doubt that the average I.Q. for Gamespotters is significantly greater than the average I.Q. for the populations of our societies of origin, it's just that we hold discussions all the time and the intelligence is given a chance to show itself.

To be quite honest I see many people who appear "smart", but really just sound like morons because they either misuse words (really common) or screw up their grammar; they try to go all fancy with the semicolons.

I do not agree TC.

Just finished high school with a 4.08 gpa. Graduated 36 of 470, advanced with honors diploma. I got scholarships totalling about $50,000 to the University of Alabama. That said, I still think PC gaming isn't worth it.

I have a year left before I earn a B.A. in History. I'm already researching graduate schools and I plan on studying for a Masters in Political Science or Public Policy.

I'm not sure that most people on these forums are "smart". It seems like for every intelligent person there is an unreasonable fan-boy. I would assume the majority of responses on the forum are written well, because most of the posters are older than sixteen.

Nope, no smartness here. I was (and still) a C average student. I am in community college right now. I also know what topics to not participate in so I guess I am smart enough to stay out. MistressMinako
