I used to be active as **** in high school. I used to have basketball for an hour in school, then practice was 2 to 3 hours after school. Then after I got home, I would eat and go to the gym with a group of friends and we would lift weights, then play some more basketball for about an hour or so. All together that is like 5 hours of basketball and 1 hour of lifting weights. I used to love the feeling of every joint in my body aching at the end of the day. It felt like a purposeful day.
Now.. a few years out of high school, I am nowhere near as active. I still lift weights 3 or 4 days a week (depending on my workout plan) for about an hour. But I don't do any cardio. I need to start getting more active. I slipped into the pattern of being lazy.
Damn.. I'm realizing that in high school I used to put in 30 hours of basketball a week. That is a lot of cardio. And 3 hours of weightlifting. Now, I do 0 hours of cardio a week, and 3 hours of weightlifting. I used to feel so good being in such good shape.
Thank you OP, for helping me realize something... I am now a man on a mission.
