I think so. I jog 2 miles every other day.
I also ran track up to last year, but I didn't really see it taking me anywhere so I dropped it this year.:P
Wouldn't it take you around the track? :xI think so. I jog 2 miles every other day.

I work out a lot, lift a lot, and eat a lot of lean meals. I do a ton of cardio. I take hydroxycut (just a small metabolism booster) and stay away from carbs and whatnot.
I'm a really lean and hard-muscled guy. I'm proud of the progress I've made.
My goal is to look like Brad Pitt from Fight Club... right now I am 6'7 and about 195 pounds. I get a little closer each week!
Not exactly. I've been skinny my entire life. I suppose I could build some more muscle but that would require effort, which doesn't mix very well with me.

Not at all. This summer will be the make-it-or-break-it attempt at getting into shape and regaining my confidence of my physical appearance. I am finished school in early April and will be quitting my job soon after to concentrate completely on doing physical labour for my parents around the house and working out.
As much as I enjoy being a plump and cuddly grizzly bear, I need to think of my health. I'm not going for ripped body builder, just that weight-lifter build; big still a little chubby but in shape. Being able to lift my own body weight as well as running a mile in several minutes.

I couldn't just keep running in circles for the rest of my life! :x
Seriously? I'm supposed to be training now for my first 10K, but I've just screwed up my knee, so I'm out of action for a couple of weeks at least. My ultimate goal's a marathon, but I've reached a plateau at around 25km :( Any advice?Yes. I can run a marathon.:)

Maybe you can ask your coach. What kind of knee injury?

If you've been running for that long you've probably heard it before, but your 3 key factors are INTENSITY(How HARD you train) frequency (how OFTEN you train) and duration (how LONG you train). Seeing as marathon running pertains more with the latter 2 principles, try experimenting with the latter 2. As for TC question - can run out and perform for 48 mins of a basketball game, although I dont think I'm fit. Do a lot of weights and am a fairly big dude however. What about teh ladiez?TheSystemLord1

I've kind of given up on my instructor, since he doesn't seem to know too much about long distance running. Rather stupidly, I haven't been to the doctor about the injury yet, figuring it will just pass in a couple of weeks like it always has in the past. I guess I was pretty silly trying to run through it in the first place, and it's my own fault for just piling on the miles with very little rest. The 10K's supposed to be in 6 weeks, and I'm really looking forward to it, but the marathon's starting to look a little daunting. Please Log In to post.
