Are you proud of being white/black/brown?

Or do you not really care? I'm interested in knowing whether people care about this sort of thing. Are you glad that you were born the color you are or is it simply not important or not something you even consciously think about? Why would someone be proud of being a certain skin color? Is it racist to prefer to be white than another color? Let me know your thoughts.

I have a tan, best of both worlds.

Race doesn't play a part of me being proud of who I am. Its the type of person I am that makes me proud.

I hardly even notice it. A person is a person whether he is black or white. It's idiotic to be anything but netural towards race.

I am brown/tan but im classified as caucasian. Makes sense?

I'm happy to be me which happens to be white. Being proud of a race is...odd.

Something's gone terribly wrong if you have to attach your pride to skin color; you don't even have a choice in it, how can you be proud of being one color and not the next?

A: older people who lived in those times but the generation im in couldn't careless

b: sterotypeing like a white person olny really hang out with whites then the one time they really interact with other race something bad happens. then this sterotypeing B.S comes into play

I really only tend to take pride in actual accomplishments.

I didn't have anything to do with being white. It is just the way I was born and was out of my hands.

I'm black, and I don't care about race. I'm more about myself personally than I am about the race I am. Because whats good for the whole race because they think we're all the same is not always good when it comes down to the single man. Racial pride is pretty stupid in my eyes, it's not something that happened afwards, something you can choose, but something the you're born with. Sure, I'm black and I wouldn't have it any other way, I've been called uncle tom for my music taste(which also includes hip-hop so I don't know why). And sure I'm proud of the things my race achieved but there is no use of holding on to past achievements. Moving on is important, developing new is important, not looking at the past and think that we have/had everything figured out and done, and that's it.

I am proud of being asian :P
