Are you proud to be an American?

If tomorrow all the things were gone, I'd worked for all my life. And I had to start again, with just my children and my wife.

I'd thank my lucky stars, to be livin here today. ' Cause the flag still stands for freedom, and they can't take that away.

And I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free. And I wont forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee. Across the plains of Texas, From sea to shining sea.

From Detroit down to Houston, and New York to L.A. Well there's pride in every American heart, and its time we stand and say.

No. I live in America, and would like to go live somewhere else but at this point in my life it would be extremely hard, so I'll just stick with this crap for now. But to label myself as "American" kills me a little inside. After-all America is just a piece of land on the world-map with a name on it, I'm on the Earth, I'm an earthling or human and that's the only label that counts. TheDawnofFlames

Yes, very proud. We screw up, and our screw ups are magnified in this connected 24/7 info world. But by and large this country is made up of great people who accomplish great things. Look at our last election, even if you don't like Obama. A mixed race man, with a white mother from Kansas, black dad from Africa beats a war hero who's served in the Senate for 20+ years.
