I just want to know whether there are more athiest or religous people on here. I am Athiest.

its hard for me to define myself as either Atheist or Religious,
in the end the question of gods existence cant be proved, but nor can it be disproved.
I consider Science and Philosophy to be the most important parts of human thinking. Religion is a part of belief, which i also think is important.

I would say since i believe in the possibility of gods existence, that would disqualify me as an Atheist. Even if im not sure what exactly god is.
If that makes any sense.
[QUOTE="th3warr1or"]Religious. I think the WORLD has more religious people though. Hakkai007
It does, but Atheism is on the rise.
Well, agnostics don't count as atheists.Neither. I don't care if god does or doesn't exist. As long as I live a good life, I should end up happy either way, right?

Lettuce be cereal. Anything other than atheism is ignoring reality.

Oh lawds, here we go again with someone who has no idea what agnosticism actually means.
Most people who incorrectly call themselves agnostics are agnostic atheists.

Agnosticism is not a belief but a statement about knowledge.
You can be Atheist agnostic or theist agnostic.
You can also be Atheist gnostic and Theist gnostic.
Agnostic is pertaining to being without out knowledge.
.
So an Atheist agnostic doesn't believe in god but also does not have knowledge of god not existing.
Of course it is impossible to have proof of something's non existence so all Atheists should be agnostic.
But some Atheist will claim to be gnostic as if they have knowledge that god doesn't exist but they would be wrong since that is impossible.
.
Basically agnostic/gnostic is a tag word (which pertains to having/not having knowledge of your belief).

"Ignoring reality"? How is belief that there is a divine creator ignoring reality? If there is no divine creator then any order you assume that reality has is merely an assumption on your part.I'm an atheist, but that could change soon. I'm going through a period of time where I'm questioning what I thought was right.

Brb believing in invisible pink unicorns in space and then saying to others who do not believe in them that they are making assumptions that the unicorns do not exist.

I'm a fairly nihilistic atheist with a deep and strongly emotional connection to the Christian ideal of a loving God as well as a deep appreciation for the artistic endeavors that surround the belief.

And religion is not a scam, last I checked plenty of religious organisations and religious people went out of their way to help those less fortunate.
