Heck no. I don't care about other people's opinion enough for me to feel awkward around them.
'Be yourself, since those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter.'
That's a great quote :) And no, I wouldn't consider myself socially awkward. Everyone who is self conscious to the point where social interaction seems scary remember one thing; NOBODY CARES ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE DOING OR WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE. Most of the time people are preoccupied with the same insecurities.Heck no. I don't care about other people's opinion enough for me to feel awkward around them.

I'm not, and I'm proud of that. I can talk to anyone and I'm generally a well-liked person. Sorry if I sound like a douche. I'm just friendly and I make people laugh. I'm happy with it.
My sister however, is the absolute opposite. She is two years older than me, which is 24, and she cannot speak to ANYone... It's really pathetic. I get annoyed with her pretty easily.
I was more so freshman year, but now as a senior I've overcome that wall that prevented me from being social. But my friends still somewhat see me as an awkward, Michael Cera-type.
I am, but not like full on socially awkward. You'd notice I'm a bit weird but you wouldn't think I was autistic.
I used to be really akward in social situations, but not anymore.
Feels lovely having broken out of my shell!
I am, but really just to people I don't know. Approach/first time talking to someone is what nerve-wrecks me the most. That, and when I completely forget what I was talking about or don't know what I'm talking about.
I'm a listener, not a life of the party. Never have much to say but the occasional really funny joke (Decent at improv.)
I am not socially awkward, but I am not totally relaxed when talking to people. I lean towards being confident talking to people, but sometimes social situations just annoy me and I enjoy being alone. optiowi do too. Its just because i have seen so many people on the road and stuff especially on my gigs and shows but it just depends who im around.
[QUOTE="Steak_And_Eggs"]I am very awkward around people I don't usually talk to. I start to stutter, my voice goes in and out, and I generally look like an idiot.CHOASXIII
That's pretty much my problem.
Oh and have this ever happen to you? When I go out, I feel very awkward, but as I talk to few people (at the checkouts etc) I get more confident, but still a bit awkward?
I don't find much use in socializing. I mainly request information or teach. Sometimes I request help, when it is absolutely necessary.
Socializing as humans normally do is a waste of time to me. I rather play some games or so.
So yes, I am socially awkward, and that is fine with me.
I suppose I am in the sense that if I'm in a new environment and there are a lot of people around whom I'm not familiar with then I will keep to myself and stay fairly quiet and probably find an excuse to leave early and go home to watch a movie. However if there are a decent amount of people around that I know, then I tend to be quite boisterous and somewhat the life of the party as I can be quite manic and silly.
Yes i am socailly awkward when talking to people for the 1st few times then after that i'm usually good,
When talking to ladies for the 1st few times i tend to smile alot and show my almost perfect white teeth, it tends to work
For me I think it has to do with how many people are in the room. If it's one on one I'll be more inclined to talk more. 5-10 people I'll comment every now and then, anything more then that, and it's irritating so I just wait for it to be over.
I am still socially akward, but I ben trying to get rids of it for the past 4 years with some success.

I'm trying too, I hope I could get rid of my social awkwardness by graduation, time's ticking real fast as life goes on, and only 1.5 year left.

Yes that happens to me.
Very much so. I can talk to random people but if I'm actually trying to make friends or talk to somone I like, I can be super awkward.
