Are You Watching Wrestlemania 27 Tonight Or Not?

Havent watched wrestling since i was about 8. About 10 or so years ago. But, The Rock will make me feel like a little kid again so i am definitely going to give it a watch.

No, and the undertaker streak would be more interesting if he wasn;t almost 90.

I'm not even sure WWE is confident with this show. If they were that confident they wouldn't have needed Rock to "host", Stone Cold to be a guest ref for no real reason, or Snooki to wrestle (seriously wtf?).

I don't really understand the appeal of wrestling, but it's definitely not just for kids and white trash. My husband started watching it again like two years ago, and he listens to podcasts and whatnot, and there's a following that is well-spoken and articulate.

I'll be watching tonight to spend time with him. I don't hate it like I used to, but I still don't get what people see in it.

For me it has a lot to do with nostalgia. I grew up with what's often considered the best era of pro wrestling (late 90s) and I still watch hoping to relive stuff like this. I think a lot of the wrestlers today are bland but there are still a few guys I'm a fan of.

(Also: thanks for being someone who "doesn't get" wrestling but is respectful about it. I don't see that often.)

Everyone over the age of 10 knows wrestling is "fake"/scripted too. Even wrestling fans.

You still haven't explained to me how they fake jumping off a ladder. There are definitely a lot of moves in wrestling that are faked - some punches don't really land, the whole concept of the irish whip is ridiculous, etc...but there's also a lot of stuff that is impossible to fake.

No I won't be watching it. I have never been a big fan of pro wrestling.

I don't hate on stuff just to hate on it. Yes, it's fake, but it doesn't seem all that different than a soap opera scripted for men.

In the UK it is £14.50 on Sky box office (a premium TV channel), so there is no way I am paying that,
