While this article is clearly bias, it is the duty of a policeman to know the law throughout and the man was right.

Open allows the situation to be avoided overall. I honestly don't see the big deal here. fix'd
People fail to realize police can disarm anyone if they have reason/suspicion of agitation or aggression. You refuse you can end up getting tazed, or even shot.
Police didn't know the law and got screwed for it. Sounds like this needs to happen more often and not just with guns.
law enforcement should know the law.
maybe our standards and training are too low, who knows?
Can't believe that officer drew his gun on the guy, though, no excuse to point a loaded weapon at a non-threatening individual.

What constitutes "aggression?" What is a valid "reason?" It had better be a good one.

This is why you should conceal carry when you have grenades on you.
Cops'll get all up in your business.
Some Police feel they are the only ones who should be allowed to own/carry firearms. Have you ever seen these patrol officers shoot at the range? Terrible marksmanship .

You are more likely to be shot accidentally by a police officer, than you are by a legal gun owner.
Facts are facts. The police aren't always safe.
"He even offered to show the officer a copy of the statute, which he also carried with him at all times (just in case a situation like this should ever arise, apparently)." How sadSolidSnake35
Sounds like the sort of guy who goes around deliberately pissing off cops just so he can make a blog post about how cops arrested him for no reason.
Did he make aYouTube video while he was at it?
