Will the Undertaker's undefeated wrestlemania streak finally be ended by Shawn Michaels this month?
I'd say yes because if there's anyone that Undertaker would be proud to lose to at wrestlemania, that would be to Shawn Michaels.

Exactly. Undertaker is one of the most recognized figures in WWE. They'll let him retire with a perfect record.whoever the people who run that thing want to win, that is who will win.

Yes it is fake...and your point is?
Wrestling is a show, an entertainment, why we couldn't discuss who we think it's gonna win, it's like discussing the next Lost Episode.
[QUOTE="rawsavon"]Good God he has been around for a long time...I had no ideaOntainit's actually sad to watch him now. I remember him being pretty cool back in the day. but now you can see that he's got bad knees and can't do a lot of the things he used to well anymore. I have not seen it since the Rock vs Stone Cold Days -he was not a major part of that era...still big, but not the headliner...he looked old even then...I can only imagine now
I don't feel takers record should be tarnished. I would hope it stays 18-0 unless he's retiring full time this year and this is his last wrestlemania....which has been said before.

Just like reality TV and movies. And those seem pretty popular.

except lost isn't pretending to be real well technically wrestling stopped pretending it was real a decade or more ago. it's just a male soap opera now.[QUOTE="Ontain"][QUOTE="rawsavon"]Good God he has been around for a long time...I had no idearawsavonit's actually sad to watch him now. Out of all the big stars in wrestling history Taker is the one I never got the appeal of. A grown man that shoots lightning bolts from the ceiling...really? He should have kept the biker gimmick he had.

Because its a bunch of steroids injecting muscle men in tight spandex, and women with huge racks falling out pretending to hit one another.. You can't even call it wrestling because they do nothing for that real sport... While pandering to a crowd with soap opera and hilariously bad macho lines..

He should have kept the biker gimmick he had.Hall looks terrible and can barely say his lines and Flair looks like he is about to have a heartattack everytime he speaks. If you actually watch his matches you see how Taker is the greatest big man ever, he is agile and strong. He shows great mat work, even UFC wanted him to come in. And no, his biker gimmick was bland as hell and he started blend in.
Undertaker is booked through June, Michaels is not after WM26. Michaels has said numerous times he wants time off and "has been seriously considering retirement for the past three years." He has also been quoted as saying he wants to spend more time with his kids now that they are young. It is undeniable that "the streak" brings in a lot of customers for the pay-per-view event. Having the Undertaker win would continually draw a crowd at the next WM venue.
The fact that Michaels has not been booked doesn't necessarily mean a loss at WM though. WWE could conjure up a kayfabe injury which would require a long absence to heal (thus giving him his desired time off). This is somewhat consistent with the recent announcement that their match could only be determined by pinfall or submission - an invitation for a no-holds barred event and an available angle to purse the victorious-but-injured storyline.
It kind of boils down to this - what is the function of "the streak?" I see two possibilities: to put someone over or to get viewers.
A win against The Undertaker at WM will put anyone over, instantaneously. Michaels does not need to be put over. Guaranteed loss for Michaels? Well, given that the Undertaker has been in the business so long, I think it is fair to say he will call it quits soon. How many WM matches does he have left in him? I don't think the company has anyone who is currently awaiting a push of that magnitude. All of the main-eventers are pretty much set and no mid-carder has that main-event status just yet (which is determined not only by in-ring ability, but mic skills - it is entertainment afterall). So, will you wait until someone is worthy of a push to end the streak? Can the Undertaker last that long? If a legend loses to a legend that is more "forgiveable" or "acceptable" to fans I think, especially since they are both nearing retirement. Think of the enormous pressure someone who ended the streak would have on his shoulders.
Then there is the possibility that the streak was always intended to attract viewers, in which case, a win for the Undertaker is the logical choice. The streak is intimately related with the Undertaker's gimmick after all. Perhaps the role of this character was to attract viewers to WM and nothing more.

They should make a senior citizens league..
When it comes to big man wrestlers Bam Bam, Vader, Kevin Nash, Sid and Big Show would be my top 5. Bam Bam being the best in ring big man and the others having the presence, awesomeness and best promo cutters. Never cared for Taker at all. His promos as the zombie character are always so cheesy and his entrance always puts me to sleep. I did like him as the biker though cause he cut better promos and was more involved in the show but as the living dead I hate him.Y2Jfan23I like them to, but people like Show are kinda slow and cant do what Taker can. Show at times can barely move, if he tried to tight rope walk or do flying moves over the rope to the outside hed die. And the quality of Takers promos vary based on how he plays his character, his attitude era ones were different than the early 90's when WWF was still riding that cartoon 80s style. Also Psycho Sid was kinda cool.

Fuhgeddabouditt = fail. it's not fake, it's a script. idiots say "oh it's fake" while people that actually know what they're talking about say it's entertainment.just in case you didn't notice, people don't go say a movie and say OMFG THIS IS FAKE AND THE MAKERS OF THIS FILM ALREADY DECIDED WHAT HAPPENS SO I CAN'T WATCH THIS!!! people watch it for entertainment. losers pretend that it's actually real moves. what you see is real, it's just the moves don't actually hurt as much as they look. sorry, I felt like ranting :P but anyway.. I have a feeling that they're going to let Undertaker win so that Shawn Michaels' fate will end up like Ric Flair's. pretty ironic lol

By fake, it makes a joke of what real wrestling is. The only losers I see is fans hyping Undertaker as if hes some elite fighter when hes clearly not. This event is garbage and its my opinion that wont change. I also see how it entertains people. I was once a WWE fan myself but grew out of it. And lastly, Movies dont take them selves seriously as the WWE tries to do..Please Log In to post.
