I know that your body starts to decay over time, but what do you experience in your mind?
Afterall, you can't experience nothing, can you? ;)

i imagine it's like experiencing sleep.... which is experiencing nothing unless you dream... maybe athiest will dream for eternity. maybe they'll become masters of their own universe and recreate their lives and live it out and experience it in a never ending loop.
but seriuosly, i guess you can experience nothing... you probably arent dreaming 100 percent of the time you sleep.

You know when you die, apparently you lose consciousness? That's where I imagine I stop experiencing things. Unless I'm revived quickly by a medical team, in which case i keep living :DI know that your body starts to decay over time, but what do you experience in your mind?

What did you experience before you were born?
I imagine that those who believe in no afterlife picture death being much the same way.
I look at it this way: either there is something, or there is nothing. If there is something, you will experience it; if there is nothing, you won't be around to recognize that fact. So, no sense in worrying about the prospect of no afterlife.
what do you experience when you die? That's like asking what does blue smell like? It doesn't make sense.
To experience something, you have to be alive. "Existence precedes Essence". Once you die, whatever makes you you stops existing, your mind, or soul, or whatever is gone. Therefore nothing can be experienced.

Don't know pal.
Although if I end up somewhere in a 1950's americana uptopia that passes for the common idea for a christian heaven, I'll start sinning like there is no tomorrow to end up in hell. After all, hell has heavy metal and I'm bound to see halford and ripper owens there as metal gods.
I'll go with hell.

Man, I'm good. :PGabuExI really think you might be my twin or something, with some of your replies I've been seeing in various threads. You even use semicolons; I don't see a lot of people do that too often. Seriously, get out of my head. :P Are you especially good at math by any chance?
