[QUOTE="hughami"]do you guys get many concerts in mexico? i would have thought that more people there would appreciate it when any band comes out their to play.Darth-Caedus
Its not some remote village in china or something, they might not get as many concerts as other places (IDK if they do or not actually), but that dosn't mean that they should be happy listening to a crap band like Atreyu...
"Its not some remote village in china or something" - that made me chuckle. Mexico, in large, is not a ho-dunk, obscure corner of the world. The culture there is just different from that of the USA. And still...the same kind of thing happens in the USA often...an opening band is not fully appreciated by the majority of fans that came to see the headlining act. People often have closed minds toward music, film and other forms of entertainment with which they are unfamiliar.
For example: Stevie Wonder, whom I find to be one of the greater American songwriters of all time, got booed off the stage at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York for playing "Superstitious" in 1973. A few months later, it became his second #1 pop single.
edit, for the record, I was just coming from the angle that Mexicans aren't a bunch of dingles who should happily lap up any crap bone that is thrown to them. Atreyu isn't that great.
Stevie Wonder was, however...I guess I went on a tanget.
