Who put "GAMESPOT SUCKS" in the comments? :x
And they're way too screamy for me. I like music, not noise.

Dude, The Devil Wears Prada is one of my favorite bands!I bought their new album, listened to it once, and now it's sitting in my CD stack...Didn't enjoy it nearly as much as Messengers.

Ugh...such a boring band...like all metalcore. Darth-CaedusYou either have A) Horrible taste in music, or B) Aren't listening to the right metalcore bands. Protest the Hero, Between the Buried and Me, and Sikth are all probably far more talented than the majority of the black/death metal bands you listen to.

I don't understand how you think a band like PTH is boring when every song is unique, whereas the majority of black/death metal bands have the same generic sound, and the same generic lyrics. To me, hearing a whole album of songs that sound like they were written by a LOTR-obsessed geek gets old after a while. At least PTH lyrics carry creativity and meanings...

BTBAM is alright, sometimes I get tired of them in the middle of a song. Protest the Hero is good in some parts of their songs, but I don't think I like any of their songs in entirety. Maybe "Sequoia Throne".

I love the month of August...ADayToWearPrada
August is a little too dry and hot IMO. I prefer June and July.
Haha I didn't pause anything for this. I just didn't click the link because I've already heard ABR and they are just another generic metalcore band with way too many breakdowns.

But the more breakdowns the better !!

I really hate it when people who have terrible taste in music tell other people with better taste in music that their taste in music is bad. While it is true that majority of black/death bands are pretty bad, the same could be said about Metalcore bands, in fact almost all Metalcore bands are generic and play in the same key. However, Darth-Caedus doesn't really listen to horrible black/death bands and neither do I... I mean he does listen to a few bands that I think are garbage but generally I'd say his taste in music is pretty good. And he definitely listens to many bands that posses far more talent than all those three combined. On the other hand, I can't wait to see BTBAM. Seeing them on the 26th w/ In Flames, 3 Inches of Blood and The Faceless. Can't wait!

Did I hurt your feelings? I'm sorry. I guess we should never discuss anything that involves some sort of personal preference correct? God forbid we argue about music, movies or any of the such again! I'm merely trying to get him to explain his reasoning as why all of metalcore is "boring" by pointing out flaws in his favored genre of music. And as another poster said, I realize many metalcore bands are pretty generic and bad (considering half of the genre seems to be composed of the same tired "Christian-metalcore"), like many black/death metal bands as well. Which is why I pointed out a few bands I felt deviated from the norm and stood out.Thrill Seeker's their best stuff, though I enjoy some songs on Messengers alot.Messiahbolical-Thrill Seeker had a different singer.

I can't stand metalcore. It's the combination of the At The Gates ripoff riffing, the whiny vocals, the hardcore punk drumming, and the god-awful breakdowns (something that needs to be done away with completely) that I don't like about it. I mean there's a few metalcore bands I can stand (at least one album from), but August Burns Red is not one of them.

I just hate it when people think they have better taste in music period. People will like what they like-- it's personal taste.

I opened the link, and 5 seconds later I could tell this band wasn't for me.
I freaking hate metalcore...
I'm listening to King Crimson so I'm definitely not pausing :PI paused Amon Amarth for that? :(

They are very awesome.

Than why did you say that music you know I like "sucks"?battlefront23That's not really elitism, more just out right stating his opinion. Elitism is finite to the point where he would be saying "it's not as good as x because of multiple y's". At least thats how it works imo.
