Maybe the wording is politically incorrect but I understand the message in that homosexuality is just as normal as heterosexuality seeing how prevelant it is in various species.

Why would our education system see fit to make such a stupid move? It's simply a glorified way of promoting homosexuality onto children of which the majority are most likely heterosexual, which is completely absurd and unnecessary.

I'd be interested in the results on how kids would turn out if fed that kind of info, but keeping the truth from them like that just isn't right.

either way, kids dont' learn about social norms in class, they learn that sort of stuff from parents, friends, media, etc... pretty much everywhere other than class

It is completely reasonable to say that pedophilia is something that a lot of people are born with - that's actually based on scientific research. However, there is no reasonable way to justify child molestation itself.

As someone mentioned 'normal' is a loaded word.

Hetrosexual couples are normal, but gay couples are also normal.

Abnormality can been seen as very negative, if kids are though that to be gay is to be abnormal it could have negative results.

How about they teach them, without any specifics, to respect people for their differences, decisions and property? What they are doing here is completely different. They are teaching kids HOW to think about certain people, rather than teaching general respect.
