If you never saw it in theatres before are you going to go see it this time? I'm going to.

I don't plan on going to see it. Why are they putting it back in theaters?ParandrusBecause it has something like 7 extra minutes.
I don't think so. If they were to put something like The Dark Night back in theaters (again), I would go see it, but Avatar wasn't good enough to go see when I could just watch it on Blu-Ray
I already have it on Blu-ray and DVD (it was bundled)....I will only see it if there issubstantial difference, otherwise why bother
It hasn't even been a year if this is true...It was cool seeing a New Hope in the theaters, but that's cause it was like 20 years since the original showing. Oh wait there's seven new minutes?! Oh well that changes everything doesn't it?paradigm68It's true. I saw it on t.v. a little while ago. I just want to go see it for the 3D experience.
What annoys me is not only are they releasing it multiple times on dvd and blu ray in different versions but they are now releasing it multiple times in theaters. Such a cash grab. I almost guarantee the 7 extra minutes will not be worth having to sit through that movie again. Seeing it once was enough for me. It was not a bad movie but it certainly (least in my opinion) did not deserve all the praise it got.
I did not like the movie the first time I saw it (2D), I will not pay for it again to see two Navi having sex in 3D.
The movie was already THREE HOURS too long, last thing it needed was seven more awful minutesToriko42
What could they possibly add in those seven minutes that warrants a re-release..ParandrusSomeone already mentioned it but I heard of it as well. A Navi sex scene. No joke. I know there are other things that we're added but I can't remember what they we're atm.

This article tells about the missing scenes. Don't take my words as facts simply because I am not sure. I just remember reading that would be one of the added scenes as well. I think I read about the scene I originally mentioned in the newest Entertainment Weekly but I am not sure.
Woah, wait.... They re-released a movie because of seven extra minutes? That seems to justify some kind of special collector's edition or something... but a re-release?cd_romYep I am not sure of the number but I think they we're already going to release the movie on dvd 3 times this year plus the blu ray twice I think. Now they are re-releasing it in theaters this month so I assume that will give them another reason on top of the 3 dvd and 2 blu ray releases to release it yet again on both formats. All within a years time of it even coming out in theaters the first time. Milking it for all its worth.
Seven minutes of what? The battle scene, mating, or just and epilogue? I need answers!!!!ujjval16I have a link above that tells about some of the added scenes. I have also read that their could be extended parts in the Navi mating scene. No pun intended.

And after reading the script the scene supposedly has, I think you're going to hate it for even more reasons than that, and by that, i mean really corny dialogue.
fox is goign to milk this everyway as possible release the blu ray version with barely lo extras. then realse a edition with extras. then release release deluxe boxset which cost like $160. what make matters worse fox is going to release a 3D version. plus its confirm to be a trilogy. does a movie like avatar even need trilogy?

I wouldn't watch it again. I already watched it twice, the second time being thanks to a friend who got us in for free. Not worth my time to watch it yet again.
