Well I finally saw it and it was what I expected pretty much. Amazing visuals, there is no doubt about that. Nothing else I have seen in years compares, but the story was a bit cliche and predictable. I also thought it was a very one dimensional story with pretty dull characters. They weren't bad though, and the film was entertaining to watch despite it's cliches and how it is pretty much Dances with wolves with blue aliens. It was also very drawn out and it felt much longer than it probably was. Like people have said before I thought the message was a very shallow one, the aliens were a perfect race of people with no big problems while humans are mostly evil. But overall it was a pretty good film, sure I could critisize how cliche it is but that has been done to death already. It is nowhere near as good as Moon, Yesterday was a lie, Mr. Nobody, Franklyn, Timecrimes, The Road or District 9. I am glad that there are seven interesting sci fi films this year, though Avatar lacks the interesting main character that Distrcit 9, and Moon have. I would give Avatar a 6.5, maybe a 7. I will post a full review in my blog soon:)
