Awkward situation for all guys

No matter how overly confident or how tough you are this has got to be the most awkward thing for a guy (the first time they do it). Walking into your local store and buying a pack of condoms. It's not even that the people at the register make it awkward, they actually try and make it less awkward for you. I know there's nothing to be nervous about, but there's just something about the way that sex is portrayed in america that makes it so weird. Anyone have a horribly awkward situation they wanna share since i just had one haha. 

BTW let's keep this clean ladies and gentlemen. We don't want any stories about how you used them.

Yea it sucks though, where i live they keep them behind the counter so you gotta tell them what size and brand. 

I've never felt awkward. If it's a guy at the till, you usually get the half-grin and a nod of appreciation, if it's an older woman it's like dealing with a nurse, and if it's a girl your age then she's the only one who feels awkward.

I got one girl so flustered that she tried three times to scan the condoms in, kept missing the barcode, and then gave up and just dumped them in the bag. If only that happened every time.

I used this theory to hurry my friend up: You're the one wanting the condoms and the person behind the counter is getting the money and loosing condoms therefore you are getting more action than the guy behind the counter ;)

Other than the handful of magnum styles (and I mean handful, I don't think I've ever seen more than two or three out of the dozens in total) I thought they were all one size fits all. I mean, different brands fit differently, but still.

Well that hasn't happened to me because I don't buy condoms (I would have really no use for them because I can't use them) but I was curious about the package and I was reading it and there was this boy staring at me. It was really, really weird.silence790

Durex found that, that's why they renamed them normal and shifted all the rest up a size catogary, it's still the same product

The shops round here have about 4 sizes per type and then a bunch of flavors of each of those

I think sizes vary from country to country, too (which makes sense as there are regions where penises are smaller on average, whether people want to admit it or not).

Buy them in a supermarket. If you're really shy, you can hide them under a bunch of bananas or use the self-service checkouts.

i haven't but i went with a friend because he wouldn't by himself, he took for ever and i was offering to buy them for him but he said he didn't want me to, waiting with underage mates like that for half an hour is much worse than just going in and buying a packmarkop2003

Funny story about buying condoms.

My older brother (2 years) was embarrassed buying comdoms for the first time so he had me do it, now he goes through a 24 pack in a week or two, that man gets some.

Not really related to buying condoms, but recently I've been having more girls over at my house and I've been trying to convince my mom I'm not messing around in her house. Well I come home and she's like "Oh I did your laundry, your wallet accidentally got washed, its by your room" I go to see my wallet with all the cards taken out along with the condom I had in there laying out to dry...I wanted to die inside.

If you're in college odds are there are free ones in the student union.

I've seen baskets full of em there before.  Also, once a year or so, Trojan comes with a big bus and gives out free condoms on campus.

Pfft. When I bought my first pack, there was an old lady browsing some of the medicines beside me and as I turned to go to the register she caught my eye. I gave here a small smile and a 'hi' of the kind that youreserve for strangers you pass on the street. The look on her face was priceless, it wouldn't have been worse if I'd propositioned her instead.

Paying for them was easy after that little scenario....
