Alcohol can cause you to do horrible things if you drink enough. All ability to reason is gone. If the father wasn't intoxicated, he wouldn't have done that. I'm not saying that he's not guilty, because it takes a horrible person to do that even under the influence of alcohol, but all the blame shouldn't be lumped on him.
