Disturbed, Limp Bizkit, and Metallica. Don't know what I was thinking, but then again, I was in middle school. Can't really stand these bands now.

Dude those are awesome bands. Why be embarrassed? guys from limb bizkit are a bunch of sick sexual perverts (do some research about what limb bizkit is)
The only two that I definitely am not proud of are Limp Bizkit and Creed. . . .especially Creed lol

i love creed.. idk why.. i used to love all emo bands until I grew up.. then I turned into a metalhead.. but creed still stuck with me creed has always been grunge...not emo
While I'm not embarrassed to admit bands I used to like, there were quite a few that would probably garner me much mockery. Boy bands like NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys, the band No Doubt (which I still like!), Alient Ant Farm, and Bon Jovi are some. I was also into rap back in the late 90s and early 00s (which I get a lot of crap for every now and then). In particular, Nelly, Jay-Z, R. Kelly, etc.
I'm not sure if I should be ashamed I was a fan of Linkin Park... nah I'm not really, they have some nice songs (Bleed It Out, Session) Hmm, actually I'm a little, a wee little, fond of Aerosmith. It's just.. I used to think that band was so... I don't know something a bit 'older' in it. . :P
I feel bad for you. Their music is just laughable. It's funny though since most of their fans consisted of 14 year old girls, my cousin introduced me to them and I haven't stopped hating them since.

Anyway, there is no band that I listen to that I feel embarrassed about. Mostly cause it's pretty hard for me to actually like a band, and the one that I do end up liking i'll listen to them until they really mess up their sound.
why should you be embarrassed about a band you listened to before? they obviously connected with you in some way at that point in time. i think its ignorant that you guys just brush them off to save facelonewolf604
I remember loving this quote last time this thread was around. There's plenty of stuff I've listened to that is deemed by society as 'bad', but I liked it then and I still like it now on some level, I've not stopped liking it even if I don't listen to it much any more.

Yeah calling Beach Boys terrible is a terrible thing. Pet Sounds is a flawless album, much better than the majority of music released today. Brian Wilson was a genius.
catchy pop songs using the latest tech does not make a band awesome, and it is far from genius.

Yeah, I think I could very possibly win this one, Third Eye Blind, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Nickleback, luckily for me, I started listening to good music.
