Yeh so I've been playing baseball for nearly 10 years now, and all of a sudden i cant throw the ball worth crap. It goes completely wild most of the time, and even when i take my time and just lob it it usually doesnt go on target. My bro said the same thing happened to him from using the computer, and that i just need to pull my arm back as much as i can before throwing, but i try this and im still going wild. Has this happened to anyone else? Have any suggestions or solutions?
Thanks.

The only reason you would be throwing wildly is from your point of release. Are you still snapping your wrist when you throw?

Sports psych? What is that.

I really dont think so. Ive been watching videos and learning everything over, but throwing just feels so awkward now for some reason.

Do you twist the wrist so the your palm is out when you bring your arm back, then when you bring it over snap it forward?

And yeh, the releasing is not coming at all natural to me anymore, so im not even sure how to time it anymore, it rididculous.

The ball will sometimes land a few bloody meters in front of me, and ive been playing for 10 years.

I would agree with the above users statement. It's most likely something mental. You don't throw a baseball for over 10 years, then suddenly not be able to throw. It's like golfers getting the sudden shanks, it just happens. Chances are when you are throwing, you're actually thinking about throwing, instead of just doing it without thought. Just need to work on your mental game.

Try split finger and throw down at an angle and you release the ball up high. Do it against a fence or something as hard as you can.

Yeh my dad said i have to just stop thinking about throwing and just throw. But its hard because i try to relax, but then i screw up, and when i keep screwing up over an over it kinda hard not to think about it.

Sorry if this is a dumb topic, but thanks for you help so far.

I have played baseball for about 12 years now and 7 of those were in AAA baseball. The same thing happened to me so I just gave up AAA baseball and now play for my towns travel team as first base. That was about 2 years ago and I am just starting to get my arm back. BTW where do you play, I pitch and play 3rd and I think all that hard throwing screwed me up.

Rent Fred Mcgriff's video that he promotes during those infomercials, he guarantees it will work. Or just practice at those Frozen Ropes places.

A trick they used in Little League was to tie your shoe laces together, go to the outfield, and shag grounders then tossing them back into the infield. People were so worried about looking stupid and/or tripping and falling, they began to throw just fine.
