Bashing Heath Leger isn't the answer

I'm sure by now you've already seen the comments made by John Gibson following Heath's death. While what he said is protected by freedom of speech(which is a great thing) , I think criticising Heath Leger diminishes the impact of his untimely passing. Coming from personal experience with having a parent with deep mental issues, it's clear that Leger was mentally disturbed and needed help. Why not use this incident to raise awareness about the issue of mental health instead of merely bashing the man for being a "drug addict".

Exactly but a bunch of talking heads in the media have been calling him a drug addict and a perv just because of Brokeback. Seriously if that movie was about a man and a woman rather than 2 men people would've called it an epic romance movie, cuz if you watch it for what it is and don't focus solely on the fact that it's two guys the movie is brilliant.MarineJcksn

It appears like his death was an accident. Reports are saying that all the drugs were prescription and that the bottles were mostly filled. It does not appear that he had a drug problem. pintabear49blue

I still can't believe some conspiracy theorists out there are saying it's all a hoax to promote him as the Joker. Nuttier then those 9/11 truthers, I swear.

I truly think he had mental issues, it wasn't just an overdose. He might not have been diagnosed with depression or things like that, but just watching some of his interviews before his death you can see he had problems.

yeah, the whole thing is just very sad, he died by combination af accidental overdose and being over stressed, all these conspiracy theories just piss me off
