Battle of the bands.

you probly just arnt too much of a metal fan, effena, the beginning of the end for megadeth is countdown.. the only reason people stil talk about MegaDave is because of Kimb - RIP.. rust in peace pretty much is the definition and basis of the X/10 thrash album rating system in my eyes, its absolutely perfect. when i rate a thrash album, i compare it to rust in peace.. and i havnt given anything over a 9/10 yet. countdown is still good, its not sellout yet like black, but its way simpler riffing and slower songs.nimatoad2000

Correct, I am not much of a Metal fan. That's why I voted for SOAD :P. I can't say I'm a fan, but they have a solid catalouge. I don't think the same could be said about Metallica, especially during the 90's.

Most of the Metal I listen to, is the more jazzy, experimental kind, like Atheist, Megadeth, and the band in my sig.

if you like jazzy then why isnt peace sells but who's buying your favorite MegaDave album? also metallica's first 4 albums are more of a solid catalogue than if SOAD continued making albums until their dying breath.. shoot ride the lightning alone. metallica will be remembered just like Led Zeppelin as one of the most influential metal bands, since metal shows NO SIGNS of dying out.. system of a down will fade into obscurity in less than 10 years, just like the glam metal bands of the 80's... they will show up on the washed up celeb shows on vh1 and mtv and make fools of themselves like the others.nimatoad2000

fun fact, their are 3 songs i know of called tormentor... one on slayers show no mercy, one on a destruction album, and one on kreator's endless pain, and their is also a great black metal band named tormentor.. i wish i could change my call of duty WAW and gamespot name to tormentor :(nimatoad2000

I like both, but I prefer many alternative bands over quite a few metal bands. About 90 percent of metal's subgenres are crap.
