cons: youre a homeless drifterDemocratikhahaha Pros: Can murder people and have less a chance of getting caugh.
cons: youre a homeless drifterDemocratikWell, he could be wandering trying to find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him
[QUOTE="The_Red_Ronso"][QUOTE="CyleM"]your topics are starting to get annoying... CyleMIt's Jeff Goldblum, give him a break. yeah well I only liked him in Jurassic Park... hahaha That made me laugh. I thought he was great in Cats Vs. Dogs.
It is an interesting idea, but you're gonna run of money pretty quickly, especially if you aren't picking up any part-time jobs as you're traveling and you're using a car to get around.
[QUOTE="xaos"]No tips, but out of curiosity, what do you hope/expect to get out of this? Actually, one tip is not to try and get a loan. Credit markets are very tight, even more so if you are getting a loan to bum around and expect to have no income with which to repay the loan.Jeff_GoldblumOh okay, thanks, I'll probably just avoid the loan then. As for what I hope to get out of this, I'd just like some adventure and maybe to see a bit more of the world. I'm 22 years old, and I've never even been out of this state. This repetitive lifestyle of doing the same thing every single day is getting a little depressing, and I'd like to experience more of the world before I die. I'd imagine this probably isn't the safest thing to do, but it's better than dying in a random car crash on the way to sit in some cubicle at work. join the navy!
Pros
- An adventure you will never forget. If you are an artist of any sort, there's your inspiration for writing.
- No bills to pay.
- Free money by beginning for it... You might as well.
Cons
- No home other than your car. It might suck to sleep in a car ever day.
- Gas money. Before you know it you will run out of money and with no reliable source of income, it will run out quick.
- Might be lonely. I'm assuming your friends/family won't be tagging along.
your topics are starting to get annoying... CyleMReally? I think his topics are interesting. Much better than most of the topics here in OT.
You'll probably be dirty and unhealthy. Also, don't spend a week at your friend's house, because then his brother will hate you for it.
I'm not projecting, I'm just making a point, that's all.
Go be homeless in a place that doesn't get that cold. If I were homeless, I'd be homeless in San Diego.aransomI'd imagine that it'd be easier to stay warm than it'd be to keep cool. Raggedy clothing is cheap.
You get to experience nature first hand. Haha.
You'll get to see cool places. I have friends that are drifters. They play guitars on the roadside and go visit large city's and beautiful places. It sucks though, they always travel south around this time of the month...
Girlfriends having their moontime, huh?You get to experience nature first hand. Haha.

-go for it ;)
He died. SPOILER WARNING :xPros: I assume homeless drifters do this because they have an ideology: that of extreme freedom and a sense of not owing anything to anyone.
Cons: You'll be ostracized because it is not the social norm. It can get lonely if you are dependent on social interactions. You'll have to forget a life of comfort and it can even be tough if you cannot find a steady job or source of income unless if you are totally self-sufficient without money.
I personally find this lifestyle interesting in the short-term, but unless if I have some financial resources to fall back on, I wouldn't consider right now.
The hell man. I'm all for fighting the system, but.... really? There are no pros. You can't have any friends because you're a drifter and you can't get a girl because girls only like guys with their lives together. Seriously, being a drifter would be such an empty existence. hamstergeddon
Such lifestyles don't have to be filled with an empty existence (ie: spiritual, etc...). Also, living normally doesn't guarantee a complete existence: millions of people right now probably have an empty existence within a highly structured and materialistic society.
