beginner anime here: need recommendations...

people, im new to the anime scene...known about it never really paid much attention

can you guys provide me of titles of good anime movies, and even better tv series etc...

i like pretty much anything, as long its polished, nice music and art etc...

im checking out imdb and i got so far, sorry the spelling dont stone me

princess monokoe, grave of fire flies, spirited away, nausssica, ghost in the shell [which one? there is quite a few]

give me some guidance
