Air, I want to fly
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Fire because you can control lightning and fly.

Only like three people in avatar can do that... what makes you think you'll be that good? And that's why I chose air. It seems like it wouldn't be that hard to control, and it is more of an evasive one. I don't really wanna start accidentally killing people:P
Air. I manipulate every element except for Earth. (In fact, it'd be useless against earth. xD) What makes it better than earth however, to me, is the fact I can try some clearly boastful stunts with flips, jumps, ect. And maybe flight. YOU CAN'T SAY THAT ISN'T HARDCORE.ProjectTrinity

[QUOTE="clayron"][QUOTE="daqua_99"]The moment you started water bending I'd hit you in the face with a rock. I win. Not if I can bend paper. 8) Hahahaha, dunno about paper, but Vine-bending seems pretty effective against attacks. *watch The Swamp in book 2 if you dunno what I mean*Water. It instantly puts out fire, plus it can infiltrate the earth and air. Plus water causes havoc, just read the story of Noah's Ark :P

Which element would you want to control?
I choose Air 'cause it's associated with flying.
Suzy_Q_Kazoo
Then water, because it's associated with swimming ;)
Earth because it's associated with walking. Also metal bending; Toph can't be the only one right?

You'd have to be really really strong to metal bend, my personal guess as to why Toph can do it is because she learned bending from the Badger moles. *nerdy specs*Water. Healing, ice, whips. What more do you need? Oh yeah, octopus-stance *tentacles everywhere*
Edit: Blood bending and wrecking icebergs by throwing a temper tantrum

What she says is true
I would either bend Earth or Fire, but I would really rather not think about The Last Airbender right now..... It still hurts.
Air and water are out so fire. That would be awesome! Some guys start annoying me and i just set them on fire. The only draw back is that its useless in the rain.

AND I control water. THANKS! =DFire. Which of the elements nearly conquered the world?Got_to_goAnd which element got their ass kicked by an Inuit tribe of seal-eaters that are so awesome they live on the ****ing North Pole?

Ass kicked you say? You mean how the fire nation captured and/or killed ALL the Southern water benders except ONE. And last time I checked the only reason the northern water tribe made it was due to a power up from a full moon and a twelve year old fish godzilla.
When the water tribe tried the same thing on the fire benders, the firebenders were powerless due to an eclipse. What happened? The firebenders GODDAMNED WON ANYWAY.

That's very true. But I do not understand how the Earth Kingdom fell. Why in the hell did King Boomie just role over. He could bend whole boulders! Aside from Blood Bending Earth Bending should be the dominate type of bending. There is an endless supply of earth on Earth. You can erect giant walls and throw boulders. Hell you can erect a giant wall made of stone and THEN throw it like a boulder. And fire bending is a double edged sword. It can only be hot enough that the bender can manipulate it from a certain distance. Why? Because a fire bender can be harmed by fire bending. Making it hot enough to melt metals and make rock molten would be a lose-lose situation for the person bending and the person he/she is fighting. And which element got their ass kicked by an Inuit tribe of seal-eaters that are so awesome they live on the ****ing North Pole?[QUOTE="Got_to_go"]Fire. "You rise with the moon, but I rise with the sun!" *snort* I don't get why people can't see that all the elements negate eachother in one way or another. None is superior or anything. They all have their weaknesses and strengths. Water bending is useless without any fluids nearby, and only the strongest bending masters can draw fluids from plants or utilize blood bending - the latter only available to most masters, except Katara, during a fullmoon. Fire bending is useless if you are like Zuko, nurturing your inner fire through your emotions - See Book 3's episode The Firebending Masters. Fire can't really block a giant cube of ice or a stone coming at you, and again with other specializing in bendings, lightning is hard to produce and control. Iroh told Zuko a good way to prevent the lightning going through your heart and killing you. If the sun disappears, let's say because of a handy comet, you're left without bending skills. Air bending is useless in tight spaces and is a very defensive bending, using agility and open spaces to move around. You may have heightened senses and added agility, but you can't do real damaging attacks with your silly wind. I've yet to figure what is the specialization in Air. Earth bending takes strength and skill to use, and most Earth benders, maybe except for Toph, are all big, strong men. Sure, you can learn how to metal bend, but it takes skill, willpower and Toph's ass-kickery :P If you don't have any ground beneath your feet, you can't bend. Sure, there were a couple of smart earth benders on a certain ship that figured a new way, but I doubt you can always find coal if you're away from dirt...And which element got their ass kicked by an Inuit tribe of seal-eaters that are so awesome they live on the ****ing North Pole?[QUOTE="Theokhoth"]

The water nation attacked the fire nation during their weakest point, and the fire nation just held out. They didn't win. 1) The Water nation is a last man standing type of assault with the few people they had available to them. 2) Zuko's sister was able to outwit Saka and Toph and therefore gave Fire Lord Ozai the much needed time he require for the eclipse to pass. 3) Even when the fire nation's power were rejuvenated the Water Tribe surrendered because they were outnumbered, vastly outnumbered. The whole point of their attack was to do it when the fire nation as a whole couldn't fight back. One on one I think a water bender vs fire bender the water bender has won, in the series, every time.[QUOTE="Theokhoth"]And which element got their ass kicked by an Inuit tribe of seal-eaters that are so awesome they live on the ****ing North Pole?[QUOTE="Got_to_go"]Fire. And the other hundred years in which they had no fish man to defend them? Did they have an eclipse that lasted a hundred years or so? PPPBBT. The water tribe lost because the firebenders cheated and because Zuko had a sudden "LOL IMMA LET THE AVATAR KILL YOU" attitude. He could have blown Daddy's head off with lightning, but NOOOOO. I would probably choose air or earth. Probably air. It seems most versatile. Why is everyone saying water or earth or air would be the best... surely fire is. You can evap water with fire being amazingly hot, earth you could melt or burn pretty much anything (again as long as its hot), air.... hot enough (using fantastic four as my reference :P) hot enough you can set air on fire/burn the atmosphere haha thus making more fires lololololol. SO yeah i would go with fire :P

Because Bumi's bending comes from neutral qhi. He said that to Aang when the gaang tried to rescue him from Omashu. Wow. I am impressed. The reason the Earth kingdom was so big and vast was mostly due to the fact of the giant landmass, if you look at the map. Ba Sing Se couldn't exactly fall due to the massive powers of the earth benders protecting the wall, and when Iroh tried to invade them, his men got thoroughly pwned. Earth benders are, at least to my knowledge, very controlled by the jing-stuff, so if they were to assault without defence in mind, their powers would weaken. (does that make sense?)[QUOTE="Deihjan"][QUOTE="clayron"] That's very true. But I do not understand how the Earth Kingdom fell. Why in the hell did King Boomie just role over. 1. The fire nation was fighting a three way war against EVERYONE ELSE. They wiped out the Air temple, fought the earth kingdom and the water tribe. After the southern water tribe is de-waterbendered, they decide to mount their assault on the Northern water tribe on the day they were most powerful, cause they don't give a ****. And then they KILLED THE MOON.
2. So the water tribe needed a firebender to do the work for them? Figures.
3. What did the firebenders do again? Oh right, they KILLED THE GODDAMNED MOON.
