[QUOTE="quiglythegreat"] I think Aphex Twin may have produced the most music by himself of any other person ever (well over 100 hours of material that is mostly unreleased). He only puts out albums to make money, but he makes music because he loves it and spends an incredible amount of time on it, according to his interviews anyway.
pianist

100 x 60 minutes = 6000 minutes. How old is he? If he's not yet 35, he could surpass Mozart. If hes' older... let's just say Mozart wrote roughly 12 000 minutes of music in the 35 years he lived. Bach came close at about 11 000 minutes, but lived longer. I'd have to check on Schubert and Wagner. It's tough to imagine they would beat out Mozart, but you never know.

He's 39 right now. It's really hard to say how much music he actually has and he probably isn't positive himself, not that he'd say in an interview one way or another, but it's clear that he spends most of his day making music.

In Flames - The Jester Race

Not my favorite, but the best from a quality standpoint IMO. And the reissue is even better.

You should post some of your compositions also, I would love to hear them even if they're crappy quality.

pianist

I would if I could. Many of my works have been performed (including a recent performance of a flute and piano sonata), but they have not been recorded in a manner that I would be willing to release to anyone. There is some exciting news on that front, though... the symphony in my town may be organizing a series of chamber recitals to accompany their symphony performances starting next season. I know the conductor well, and he knows I compose music. All the symphony performances are recorded... so who knows. I may end up with a professional recording of a professional performance of one of my works one of these days, and I'd be more than willing to share if that were to happen.

You are my new GS hero, you seem to know lots about what you do and you are probaly great at it too. I would love to hear you play.

I've been getting a lot of requests about that lately. Maybe I'll upload a couple of things and post it in my blog. But not right now.

Considering how often I have come across you in music topics, it would be really interesting to hear a composition of yours!

If I ever get a drumkit you can be sure there will be LOTS of stuff of me playing on youtube, lol.

pianist

Unless I get banned or something, that may eventually happen. I'm picky, probably moreso than I should be. I do, for instance, have a recent recording of a flute and piano sonata I wrote, but I won't release it, because my friend and I only had two months to work on it (it's a piece that would need at least half a year to bring to an acceptable performance level), and there was a lot of sloppy playing by both of us. I wouldn't want THAT to be the first exposure a stranger gets to my playing, or my composition.

lol alright then. You be picky while I won't.

I will likely end up putting any half-decent performance of mine up, lol.

Not sure what song I would play first. Maybe Enter Sandman because that song is SOOOO EASSYYY.
