Honestly so far there's not much that has really caught my eye... Coldplay's new album doesn't really do it for me (yet anyways, sometimes it takes a while for me to "get" an album)... I actually think that the 2008 CD I've listened the most to so far is a Reggae compilation :S
Dunno if Radiohead's album is billed as '07 for its internet release or '08 for its retail release, but it's the last great album I found
Arsis - We are the nightmare
Children of Bodom - Blooddrunk
Deicide - Till death do us part
BFMV - Scream Aim Fire
But.. the actual BEST one is Opeth - Watershed.
Nouns by No Age
Dig Lazarus Dig by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
There are some more, but these are real winners.
Theres 3 albums that I've purchased so far this year that I've enjoyed equally
Opeth - Watershed
In Flames - A Sense of Purpose
Children of Bodom - Blooddrunk
Division by ten years, every song is amazing. Big_player
I was REALLY disappointed by that album, compared to The Autumn Effect...

This album was a huge dissapointment for me. I tried to let it grow on me, but it wasn't happening.
If you can see past the insanely bad Prince impressions, it's a pretty good album.

They definitely took alot of creative chances, some of which I didn't approve of (Track 3), but overall no other Rock N Roll band has taken the artistic and creative leaps they have over the course of their last 3 albums. Evil Urges will be remembed 10 years from now. The real question is, will any of these other albums?
This is by a really good band called under the influence of giants, sounds like an old funk/disco song. It is the only song this year so far that I would have sexual intercorse with or in the background while doing the funky chunky monkey love boogie.

I though nobody knew about them. They're great. They are like a mix of beegees and something else.
I did, it blows everything else I've heard out of the water.Sigur Rós - Með suð à eyrum við spilum endalaust
Portishead - Third
Nine Inch Nails - The Slip
Fleet Foxes - Fleet Foxes
I'm actually really surprised as to how nobody has mentioned Með suð à eyrum við spilum endalaust
