I'd say...
Come Together - The Beatles
or
Shes Lost Control - Joy Division

the National Anthem by Radiohead kicks ass :DO_OdazX_XThat song rules so hard it's been called a dictatorship and the UN refuses to recognize it.
Probably the bassline from "The Pot" by Tool. It's one of their few songs in 4/4, and it grooves really nicely.
While songs such as Jambi and Rosetta Stoned have much more intricate and difficult bass work, there isn't a defined bass "line" throughout the songs due to the complexity. So I will stick with The Pot for the purposes of this thread.
Wow... this is really hard... it depends on genres and styles I guess.
I'll just name a few songs with some good basslines:
- "Cage" by Dir en grey
- "Heretics & Killers" by Protest the Hero
- anything by The Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
- anything by Geddy Lee (Rush)
- anything by John Entwistle (The Who)
- anything by Larry Graham (Sly & The Family Stone)
